Elucidating the mechanisms of tissue homeostasis and tumorigenesis via cell-cell interaction
Overview of the research
Cell-cell interaction is important for maintenance of tissue homeostasis and its dysregulation links to cancer progression. However, the mechanisms of how individual cell interacts with each other and maintains tissue homeostasis is poorly understood yet. To elucidate this, I will analyze the mechanisms by which cell-cell communication among epithelial cell, dying cell and macrophage drives tissue repair and tumor progression.
