      • Overview of the research

        Newly synthesized polypeptides acquire their native conformations to be functional, and proteins that failed to fold properly or that are misfolded due to cellular stresses are degraded within the cells. This system is called as the quality control mechanism of proteins. I study the cellular mechanism of the protein quality control.
