      • Overview of the research

There are many ways of studying animal behaviour which range from understanding the mechanisms that lead to the expression of behaviour through to understanding the fitness benefits of expressing a behaviour. I am an evolutionary biologist who studies animal behaviour mainly from the mechanistic perspective. Therefore, my research concentrates on understanding the relationships between animals’ behaviour and their physiology and environment.
