      • Research Topics

        Elucidation of the mechanism by which plants grow strongly while adapting to their environment and the molecular structural basis that enables control of the mechanism
      • Overview of the research

        Plants produce a wide variety of bioactive substances, including phytohormones, and skillfully utilize them in their responses to the environment. Our goal is to elucidate the mechanisms of action of bioactive substances and the mechanisms of plant environmental responses and growth regulated by intracellular signaling networks and gene expression by understanding the molecular structures and dynamics that give rise to the unique functions of biological macromolecules, such as proteins and DNA. We try to approach the molecular breeding of crops with superior traits based on the new knowledge obtained from our research.
