      • Overview of the research

        昆虫特異的な生理現象である脱皮・変態を阻害する剤,いわゆる昆虫成育制御剤の構造活性相関研究を中心とした研究を行っている.特に,脱皮ホルモン様活性化合物については,その受容体タンパク質の遺伝子クローニングを行って,タンパク質の合成も行った.それ以外に,サソリの毒液に含まれる毒素の探索と構造決定,植物に含まれるステロイドホルモンの作用を模倣する化合物の分子設計を行っている.2013年から,昆虫のキチン合成阻害剤ベンゾイルフェニルウレアの作用機構研究を開始した.
