  専門は20世紀史。インド系の独立運動家・移民・ディアスポラが世界各地で実施した様々な活動（留
  学、政治活動、宗教活動、労働など）、各地域における人的交流、運動拠点の形成過程の解明を
  課題としています。各拠点間および各拠点・インド本国間の情報・資金・人材の流れを意識して研
  究を進め、インド独立運動の多面性と世界性を叙述することが目標です。また最近は、グローバル・
  ヒストリーや集合的記憶の観点を盛り込んだ日印外交・文化交渉史の研究にも取り組んでいます。
