  The mechanical behavior and anti-fault measurement of an active fault crossing tunnel structure

• Overview of the research

  Active fault displacements during seismic events can cause severe damage to tunnels and other underground infrastructures. In this context, my research focuses on investigating the following topics through theoretical analysis, numerical simulation, and centrifuge model testing:
  
  Investigation of soil–tunnel interaction mechanisms under the combined effects of fault displacement and seismic loading;
  Mechanical behavior and damage mechanisms of tunnel structures (mountain and shield tunnels) induced by fault movement and seismic excitation;
  Development of anti-fault and anti-seismic design strategies for tunnel structures.
