        Thermal environment and energy conservation in dwellings and buildings, Measures against deterioration of building exterior materials under climatic conditions
      • Overview of the research

        I study house specifications for the residents to create their favorite environment without excessive energy consumption, based on the survey of residents’ lifestyle, thermal sensation, and energy consumption in various dwellings in Kansai (especially traditional houses in Kyoto).
        From the viewpoint of realizing of long-life building and conservation of historical buildings, I investigate the countermeasures against deteriorations caused by heat and moisture (especially frost damage). Now I’m working to clarify the mechanism of various deteriorations.
