        セラミックスの透明化による新型透明蓄光材料の開発や温度変化に伴う二つの励起状態からの発光強度変化を利用した蛍光温度計など無機発光材料を中心に研究を行っている。また、外部光励起を必要としない新規近赤外域生体イメージング技術や広い温度範囲内イン‐サイチュかつ微小領域での高分解能を持つ温度センシングなどの応用へ展開している
