• Overview of the research

  Psychological and social stress have an influence on the autonomic nervous system, endocrine system, immune system, etc., and cause exacerbation of systemic diseases. We can imagine that patients scheduled for surgery are suffering from a lot of stress, but little is known about how they affect the postoperative course. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of stress on postoperative inflammatory reaction, and to clarify what kind of clinical influence may occur in the postoperative course.
