Overview of the research
She has pursued the study of contemporary Jewish societies from a cultural anthropological perspective, focusing on Jewish communities in Israel and the diaspora. Drawing on research in Argentina, Australia, the UAE, she examines practices related to family, memory, art, and social norms, exploring how Jewish societies are formed and reconfigured and the cultural and social dynamics that sustain these processes. Her recent work focuses on the practice of writing family history, which she seeks to theorize as a way of situating the self within history and shaping the self and family in the present.
