Dr. Yamada is a distinguished researcher in entrepreneurship, recognized for receiving numerous academic awards in Japan and abroad. He has held various significant roles, including serving as an external board member for listed companies and participating in national science and technology innovation policy committees. Dr. Yamada earned his B.A. in Accounting from Chuo University in 1995, followed by an M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from Hokkaido University in 1997 and 2000, respectively. He began his academic career as a Full-time Lecturer at Kagawa University's Faculty of Economics in 2000 and later advanced to the position of Associate Professor in 2008. Throughout his career, he has undertaken several international academic engagements, such as being a Visiting Scholar at Cranfield University Management School in the UK in 2002 and a Visiting Professor at Bordeaux Management School in France in 2007. He has also contributed as a Visiting Researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in 2006 and the National Institute for Science and Technology Policy (NISTEP) under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) in 2008. Additionally, he has served as a Visiting Researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology Policy (NISTEP) under MEXT since 2010. In 2010, Dr. Yamada assumed the role of Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Business Administration, Osaka City University, and later became a Professor in 2016. His contributions extend beyond academia, as evidenced by his appointment as a Visiting Professor at Griffith University, Australia, in 2019. In 2024, he became a board member of the National University Corporation Kyushu University Robert Huang/Center for Entrepreneurship External Advisory Council Member, further solidifying his commitment to fostering entrepreneurship initiatives and academic collaboration.Through his diverse experiences and expertise, Dr. Yamada continues to play a vital role in advancing entrepreneurship research and education globally.
