仏教研究知識ベース ― 禅仏教を例として研究概要
２１世紀の初めには既に多くの仏教経典と仏教関連資料が電子テキストとして入手できるようになった。このような電子テキストには様々な問題が残っているが、研究資料として利用できるデータは豊富であり、さらに増え続けている。この新しいメディアを利用して人文科学の分野において、新しい研究方法を開発することが私の大きな研究課題となっている。文献の成立、内容および構造、文献間の関係、言語学的な分析、社会と歴史、さらに文献の作者および周辺の人々を考察し、美術作品や出土品の様々な分野の内外研究成果をインターネットによって総合的に利用できるようにすることにも関心をもっている。このような研究計画の一つの実例として仏教、特に禅仏教の総合的な知識研究ベースを作成しようとしている。
