        Maximal regularity and its application to free boundary problem of fluids
      • Overview of the research

        流体力学や連続体力学等の自然現象を記述する非線形偏微分方程式の解の存在や性質を、偏微分作用素をバナッハ空間上の閉作用素と見做して、フーリエ解析、実解析、関数解析的手法により数学的に解明する。熱方程式を一般化した放物型偏微分方程式に対する最大正則性原理は、方程式の主要部に現れる最高階の微分を制御するもので、非線形放物型方程式、とりわけ準線形方程式を取り扱う上で最大限の威力を発揮する。特に、流体を表す非圧縮性・圧縮性ナヴィエ・ストークス方程式の自由境界問題、相転移を伴う2相非圧縮性・圧縮性ナヴィエ・ストークス方程式の自由境界問題に対し、最大正則性原理を主とした関数解析的手法を応用し、解の時間局所適切性・時間大域適切性を論じる。さらに、これらの自由境界問題に対し、線形化安定性解析に基づいて、解の漸近挙動、定常解の安定性の解明を目指す。
