    • Profile

      構造盆地や陥没カルデラの形成,ダイクの貫入プロセスに興味をもっており,数値シミュレーション(転位論や有限要素法,個別要素法)や解析的手法によって研究しています.

      構造盆地形成プロセスの研究では,特にプルアパートベイスンの形成に興味をもっており,ディスロケーションモデリングを用いて,その形成プロセスやテクトニクスを議論してきました。また,断層運動による堆積層の変形の研究では,個別要素法を用いています.

      陥没カルデラやダイクの研究では,解析的手法により問題解決の糸口をつかもうとしています.カルデラ形成に必要とされるマグマ溜りの体積変化量や,ダイクの不規則な形状からマグマの過剰圧をを推定する方法等について考察してきました.

      これらの他,物理探査,特に,重力異常を用いた地下構造の推定や航空重力測定についての研究にも取り組んでいます.
