Graduate School of Science Program-Specific Assistant Professor
I am an assistant professor at Kyoto University. My research areas include philosophy of causation, philosophy of social science, metametaphysics, history of sociology, and space ethics. I am mainly interested in the methodological issues of social science and currently working on metaphysics and semantics of causation. In metametaphysics, I defend and develop a prescriptive view of metaphysics. In the history of sociology, I investigate a theory of causation Max Weber inherited from Johannes von Kries. I also study the ethics of space development.
