2013年、龍谷大学大学院文学研究科仏教学専攻博士課程修了（博士〔文学〕）。その後、米国仏教大学院博士研究員、龍谷大学世界仏教文化研究センター・アジア仏教文化研究センター博士研究員、京都大学人と社会の未来研究院研究員を経て、2024年より京都大学人と社会の未来研究院上廣倫理財団寄附研究部門特定准教授。専門は日本思想・文化研究、日本仏教学、日本宗教学、密教学。著作に、『平安期密教思想の展開：安然の真如論から覚鑁の身体論へ』（2023年、臨川書店）、『中世禅の知』（共著、2021年、臨川書店）等がある。
