        Quantum simulation with ultracold atoms in an optical lattice, and precision measurement to search for new physics
      • Overview of the research

        Our experiment uses ultracold atoms (below 100 nano Kelvin) in an optical lattice, a standing wave of laser light. By taking advantage of ultracold atoms to control their quantum states with high precision, we study various phenomena ranging from condensed matter physics to particle physics.
