      • Overview of the research

        I'm exploring the metabolic pathways of carotenoids and retinoids in human and the enzymes responsible for them using compounds with characteristic chemical structures found in marine organisms as probes. I'm also evaluating the anti-inflammatory effects of carotenoids, retinoids, and their metabolites.
