    • Profile

      Takehiro Sato received the B.E., M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in engineering from Keio University, Japan, in 2010, 2011 and 2016, respectively. He is currently an associate professor in Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University, Japan. From 2011 to 2012, he was a research assistant in the Keio University Global COE Program, "High-level Global Cooperation for Leading-edge Platform on Access Spaces" by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan. From 2012 to 2015, he was a research fellow of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. From 2016 to 2017, he was a research associate in Graduate School of Science and Technology, Keio University, Japan. From 2017 to 2021, he was an assistant professor in Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University, Japan. He is a member of the IEEE, and the IEICE.

      • Overview of the research

        I conduct a research and development on network architecture design, analysis, and control methods that achieve flexible utilization of huge-capacity optical networks and computation resources deployed in both cloud and edge. Especially I am working on problems in adaptive service provisioning by using network virtualization technology, energy serving according to fluctuation of network utilization, and protection methods that achieve continuous providing of services in the case of network failure, with both theoretical and experimental approaches.
