      Research

Research Topics, Overview of the research

      • Research Topics

・Development of fluorescent probes for monitoring neural activity.
・Dendritic computation of electrical and molecular signaling.
        ・Circuit mechanisms underlying odor-induced behaviors.
      • Overview of the research

Probing functional neural circuits at high spatial-temporal resolution is crucial to understand how neuronal populations work together to achieve higher brain functions such as learning and memory. We aim to understand these circuit mechanisms with cutting-edge multiphoton imaging and optical control technology.
