       専門分野は森林生態学や生態系生態学で、特に地形に沿って森林の構造や機能がどのように変化するのかについての研究や人為影響によって生態系の窒素循環がどのように変化するのかについての研究を、主に日本国内の森林で調べてきました。研究テーマは窒素循環に関わることなら幅広く何でもやってきましたが、最近では窒素循環を駆動する土壌微生物についての研究が面白いです。また半乾燥地の緑化に関する研究も行ってきました。

      • Overview of the research

        I am broadly interested in nitrogen cycling in forest ecosystems. I have been studying about N use of plant species, soil-plant interactions, soil N dynamics and soil microbes in humid and semi-arid forests. I am also interested in the effects of human activities such as climate change and forest management on ecosystem functions of forests.
