• Overview of the research

  [1] Analysis of biochemical functions (enzyme activity and metal binding ability) and structures (using X-ray crystallography) of proteins. [2] Development of protein expression system construction method using Pichia ( Komagataella ) yeast and Saccharomyces yeast, production of secreted proteins and membrane proteins using them. [3] Propagation, improvement, and preservation methods for succulent plants (Aloe, Haworthia, Gasteria, Echeveria, Sedum, etc.) by tissue culture, search and analysis of useful proteins. [4] Extermination of alien fish (largemouth bass, bluegill, etc.) and dissemination and enlightenment of protection of indigenous fish, alien plants (e.g., sarcophagus, bellflower) development of utilization methods, detection and functional analysis of free proteins in soil related to greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural land.
