      • Overview of the research

        The concept of our research is to apply organic chemistry to nanomaterials. We have been working with the following two subjects; 1) structural separation of nanotubes and nanosheets through supramolecular chemistry and 2) chemical functionalization of nanomaterials based on synthetic organic chemistry for biomedical application. Both subjects are interdisciplinary; the former subject is closely related to the fields of supramolecular chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, materials chemistry, and nanoscience, and the latter one is in interdisciplinary fields among nanomedicine, cell biology, nanoscience, organic chemistry, and materials chemistry.
