        Synthesis and physical-property evaluation of transition metal compounds
      • Overview of the research

        I focus on inorganic transition metal compounds with characteristic structure including perovskite structure and kagome lattice. In order to search for chemically and physically interesting phenomena originating in the interplay among spin, charge, orbital, and lattice degree of freedom, I have been trying to synthesize such compounds with the ordering of cations and high-pressure synthesis, and investigating their structural and physical properties.
