        わが国における家畜の遺伝的多様性および遺伝的改良に関する研究
      • Overview of the research

        21世紀のキーワードの一つである食料の確保並びに質の向上を図る上で、家畜の持つ種々の生産能力を遺伝的に高めていくことは重要な課題である。生産形質の発現には多くの遺伝子座の遺伝子および環境因子が関わり、複雑な発現様式を示す。家畜の生産形質情報、家系情報、さらにはDNA情報などを集積し、遺伝統計学の理論に基づく高度な数値計算処理を行うことで、有用形質の発現に関与する遺伝・環境因子を明らかにすることを目指す。
