Cognitive, behavioral, and brain development in humans
Overview of the research
The research themes are 1) to identify differences between the cognitive worlds of children and adults, and 2) to examine and support children's cognitive and social development for the future. The development of executive functions, emotional control, fantasy, sensory imagery, visual awareness, creativity and emotional recognition has been examined in infants, toddlers and children using methods from developmental psychology and developmental cognitive neuroscience, including behavioural observation, behavioural experiments, gaze measurement, physiological index and brain imaging method.
