        Elucidation of cell locomotion and mechanotransduction mechanisms and pursuit of druggable targets by real-time and super-resolution monitoring of intracellular molecular behavior
      • Overview of the research

        By applying visualization techniques such as live-cell single-molecular imaging and original multi-target high-density super resolution microscopy IRIS, I aim at elucidating cell locomotion and mechanotransduction mechanisms regulated by actin remodeling processes and its major polymerizing factor, formin homology proteins. I also elucidate the regulatory mechanisms of cancer, immune and nervous systems by directly capturing the actions of signaling molecules in the complex living systems, and aim to reveal unforeseen mechanisms of action of drugs and pursue druggable targets.
