      1987年洛星高等学校卒業、1987年京都大学農学部農芸化学科入学、1991年同学科卒業、1991年京都大学大学院農学研究科農芸化学専攻修士課程入学、1993年同修士課程修了、1993年同博士課程進学、2000年同博士課程修了。1993年より1995年までの3年間、青年海外協力隊よりシリアへ派遣される(派遣先:国際乾燥地農業研究センター)。2002年より京都大学大学院農学研究科助手、助教。2013年より京都大学大学院地球環境学堂准教授(農学研究科両任)、現在に至る。

        Development of sustainable use of land resources in semiarid Tropics
      • Overview of the research

        Semiarid Tropics of Africa is one of the most susceptible areas to desertification. To realize better crop productivity in a sustainable manner - New "Green Revolution" -, I establish the integrated land stewardship that can minimize the nutrient loss from the farmland and can allow the nutrient input, validate its effectiveness and develop the way to disseminate it.
