      • Overview of the research

        The in vivo environment is a dynamic solution environment in which blood flow and the electric field of neurons exist. Recently, it has been shown that certain proteins undergo liquid-liquid phase separation and amyloid fibrillation in response to the dynamic solution environments. Liquid-liquid phase separation and amyloid fibrillation are associated with long-term memory formation and neurodegenerative diseases. I have been studying the mechanisms of liquid-liquid phase separation and amyloid fibrillation that form in response to the dynamic solution environment, and also studying the mechanism of inhibition of amyloid fibrosis by food ingredients.
