    • Profile

      園芸植物の花の色・模様の形成メカニズムを中心に研究しています。アントシアニン(フラボノイド)・ベタレイン色素の生合成に関わる遺伝子の同定や、花の模様形成に関わる転写後遺伝子サイレンシング機構の解明に注力しています。これまでにダリアのアントシアニン生合成に関わるbHLH転写因子の特定、ダリアの花の黒色化機構の解明、複色花ダリアの花色の不安定化機構の解析を行ってきました。現在は、ダリアの黄色色素6'-デオキシカルコン生合成遺伝子の同定と黄色花の分子育種、トウガラシにおけるアントシアニン着色変動遺伝子の特定、ペチュニアの花の模様形成機構の解明、ブーゲンビレアにおけるベタレイン生合成遺伝子の特定に取り組んでいます。
