      生得行動の一つである逃避行動が、環境に適応して調節される現象(生得行動の環境適応)に興味をもっています。この現象の基盤となる神経メカニズムを明らかにするために、電気生理学・光遺伝学(光生理学)と、ゲノムワイド相関解析などの古典遺伝学的手法とを組み合わせて研究を推進しています。

      • Research Topics

        An exploration of the neural mechanisms that control animal escape behavior in an environment-dependent manner and the origins of its diversity.
      • Overview of the research

        Quick escaping allow animals to survive when they are attacked by predators. Various sensory inputs, especially nociceptive sensations, are important signals for inducing the escape behavior. Different animals show different escape strategies, and different escape patterns can be seen even within the same species. This means that genetic variety makes escape behavior different. I am interested in the diversifying mechanism of such behavioral patterns and are exploring it from the viewpoint of the diversifying neural network.
