Biological interactions, and its diversity and maintenance mechanism Viral Ecology
Overview of the research
How are the interactions with the pathogen and herbivore surrounding plants regulated and diversified? I am studying how biological interactions are regulated using transcriptomic and epigenetic analysis, focusing on the function of "genes". In particular, I am investigate the interaction between wild plants and viruses, and aim to elucidate the mechanism by which they coexist under seasonal environment. In addition, I am also working on the restoration of the virome over the past 100 years using Lake Biwa sediments.
