      Studying ionosphere with observations and simulations belonging to four domains (ac.jp, go.jp, edu, gov). Research targets are the basic ionospheric physics and aplication to radio propagation based on observations with radars, satellites, and sounding rockets, and original numericaion simulation models.

        Observation ans simulation of ionospheric irregularities
      • Overview of the research

        Earth's ionosphere consists of neutral atmosphere and ionized plasma particles which can be regarded as a transition region from Earth to space. Plasma instabilities in the ionosphere genereate various irregular plasma density structures and cause severe satellite communication and navigation outage. My research aims at understanding the plasma dynamics in the ionosphere and forecasting the occurrence of irregularities by observations and simulations.
