        Molecular analysis of bamboo flowering ~ the establishment of the genetical improvement system of bamboo ~
      • Overview of the research

        Already flowering gene (SvFT) was cloned from flowering bamboo. This gene was introduced into rice cells driven under CaMV35S promoter. Transgenic rice showed dwarf and ewarly flowering.Therefore, SvFT gene has a function to induce flowering. Now, the promoter region of SvFT gene was analyzed.
