      • Overview of the research

        Long-term stability is reqyured for structures in a rock mass. To ensure the stabiulity of structures, information about time-dependent fracturing in rock is essential. In addition, information about permeability and crack closure in rock-like materials is also important for the long-term stability of structures in a rock mass and radioactive waste disposal. For these purposes, I am conducting studies about crack growth, peameability, elastic wave velocity and crack closure in rock and cementitious materials.
