        Establishment of a solid basis for informatic analysis on comparative epigenetic dynamics during germ cell development in humans, Cynomolgus monkeys and mice
      • Overview of the research

        Mammalian germ cells unergo epigenetic reprogramming/programming to re-acquire totipotency in the next generations.
        We recently developed a method to derive primordial germ cell-like cells and epigenetically reprogrammed cells from mouse ES cells, Cynomolgus monkey ES cells, and human iPS cells, which can overcome the limitation of use of live embryo. We will analyze in detail the mechanism of genome-wide epigenome reprogramming of these drived cells and that of mammalian germ cells.
