• Research Topics

  Studies on (1) phase transition and the resulting microtexteure of rock-forming minerals and (2) descriptive minearalogy of rare minerals

• Overview of the research

  I study on the phase transition of mostly rock-forming minerals and the resulting microstructural changes. Through the information, I am trying to find out the thermal and stress history that rocks and minerals have received. Not only studies on familiar rock-forming minerals, but descriptive mineralogy of rare minerals are also performed. I am also working on organizing, registering and compiling a database of the classical mineral specimens stored at the Kyoto University Museum.
