    • Profile

      At Tokyo Institute of Technology (Kozuma Lab.) I did experiments on cold atoms, and at the University of Tokyo (Nakamura and Usami Lab.) I did experiments to realize an interface between photonics and spintronics. At present, I am further integrating phononics and doing experimental research on hybrid system which consists of light, electric spin, and lattice.

        Optospinmechanics using surface acoustic waves
      • Overview of the research

        There is an angular momentum which has yet to be distinctly observed. That is the angular momentum of phonons. This research focuses on surface acoustic waves and aims to demonstrate the existence of the angular momentum of phonons using light. Based on this fundamental purpose, I am trying to build the physics of interconversion of the angular momentum between photons (optics), electron spins, and phonons (mechanics).
