地域価値の維持・向上、地域の課題の解決、地域の活性化などのための民間による主体的なまちづくり「エリアマネジメント」の研究を中心に、まちづくり、都市計画、都市の景観や緑などについて研究しています。
エリアマネジメントについては、現状分析、意義、制度の在り方、効果・評価手法等を、産官学連携の枠組みも活用しつつ、多面的に研究をしています。
