      I am a doctor in the Department of Hematology and Oncology, Kyoto University Hospital. I am combating hematological malignancies, such as leukemia and malignant lymphoma, every day. My dream is to develop a novel therapy for hematological malignancies by elucidating the interactions between tumors and the immune system. Now, I am specifically working on clinical trials of dendritic cell-based immunotherapy for patients with leukemia and melanoma.

      • Overview of the research

        Immunotherapy for hematological malignancies has made great advancement in recent years, including chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy and bispecific antibodies. To take advantage of these new therapeutic modalities and further improve therapeutic outcomes, we are conducting research to improve chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy and elucidate the mechanisms of therapeutic resistance to immunotherapy.
